  • Have you ever voted? If yes, talk about your first voting experience. If no, why haven't you ever voted?!
  • Do you think voting in elections is a basic right or a privilege? And should there be any restrictions? Please explain.
  • Would you ever go to war, or rebel against the government of your country, to protect your freedom? How about to gain freedom? Why/not?
  • Would you ever go to war to free other people from oppression and tyranny? Why/not?

  • What does freedom mean to you on a macro level of nations, citizens, laws, and so on? How about on a more personal level?
  • How free would you consider the people of your country to be? Please explain.
  • Which country's people enjoy the least number of freedoms? Why do you think so?
  • Which country's people enjoy the greatest number of freedoms? Why do you think so?
  • Do you agree or disagree? There is such a thing as too much freedom. Why/not?
  • How important are equal rights for all races, religions, and beliefs? Please explain.
  • How important is freedom of speech? Please explain.
  • How important is a completely free Internet? Please explain.

  • Are some nationalities more predisposed to freedom than others? Why/not?

Who's behind Heads Up English?

chrisMy name is Chris Cotter, and I'm a full time English teacher and curriculum designer. I've been a working in the English industry for more twelve years, and this site serves the following purposes:
